Thank you for your interest in the Seventh
Annual Libertarian Cruise! I hope you will
enjoy these updates whether you decide to book
a stateroom on the ms Rotterdam or not. If you
ever wish to stop receiving these updates, just
hit your reply button and let me know. One will
arrive monthly until January.
Why Holland America? After sailing with Princess,
Carnival, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and Holland
America I have found that Holland America gives the
best value among these moderately priced Cruise Lines.
Since last month's Cruise Update, there has been a
further reduction to a 65% discount off the published
tariff for some of the Categories! That provides
reductions of up to another $300 per person. (Inside
Staterooms NOW begin at $1,123 per person.)
Unfortunately, the fares have gone up for the
Verandah Staterooms and some Categories have now sold
out. I have not changed my web site fares, as this last
discount will likely expire soon. It is available to
new bookings only.
I've never found a more relaxing and enjoyable
vacation than a cruise, even though I keep trying.
This event offers a very special extra - among our
group will be some of the nicest people you will ever
meet. I've enjoyed the many non-libertarian friends
who have accompanied us on our annual cruises as much
as I've treasured spending time with my LP friends.
There always seems to be a nice blend of interesting,
wonderful people.
In evaluating the 2004 cruise for yourself, the
first step I would recommend is to request that the
Cruise Line mail you a brochure. This is free and
easy to do from their web site:
https://www.hollandamerica.com/contact/LiteratureOrderForm.jsp
(select Panama Canal)
or call 1-877-724-5425 to ask for a brochure.
The brochure tells all about the ship and the itinerary.
The ms Rotterdam pages reveal photos of the various
Categories of staterooms and show the layout of each deck.
The descriptions of our voyage as well as all the general
details of cruising are carefully written for the novice.
There are features such as extra baggage insurance,
cancellation insurance, air add-on prices, and pre- and
post-cruise extra vacations listed.
You'll like having the brochure around as the months
leading up to our departure fly by. Part of the fun of
cruising is the building anticipation! Don't wait for
the brochure to arrive to check out more of the details.
The latest fare reduction resulted in a flurry
of bookings among those who have expressed interest
in this Cruise. I expect we are about half way to
the size of our final group with 15 already booked.
We come from Indiana, Pennsylvania, Connecticut,
Alaska, and Canada.
That's it for this update.
If you're planning
to join us, let me know and I'll email you a booking
form. A $500 per person deposit holds your reservation.
There are no penalties for cancellations made before
December 9th. Please e-mail me with your questions
and I'll share answers to the most frequently asked
questions in each future update. Beginning with
Update # 3, I will also describe the activities of
some days of our itinerary in a feature called,
"A Day On The ms Rotterdam".
Best Wishes,
Ken
